RESTART partner of the workshop “The path towards 6G: Standardization and Research Vision” | June 12, 2025, Canada
The future of telecommunications takes shape on June 12 2025, when, on the occasion of the IEEE ICC 2025, an international workshop dedicated to 6G networks will be held in Montreal, Canada. With 5G still in the expansion phase, the scientific and industrial community is already looking to 2030, imagining infrastructures capable of supporting an increasingly connected, intelligent and sustainable world.
The initiative, sponsored by the RESTART Foundation, will address the challenges and opportunities related to the design of 6G networks, articulated on two main axes:
- Architectural innovations for mobile and wireless networks of the future
- State of the art and synergies between the main international projects in the 6G field
The planned topics include:
- AI-driven network management
- Network Digital Twins
- High-precision localization
- Evolutive architectures (5G→6G)
- Dynamic resilience and standardization (3GPP, ITU, O-RAN, ETSI)
- Experimental validation through open testbeds
The event will host academic, industrial and institutional experts, supported by the European 6G SNS JU projects such as HORSE, 6GREEN, ADROIT6G, SUNRISE-6G, SUPERIOT, and others.
RESTART Foundation participates with conviction in this strategic event to support global digital evolution, promoting responsible and collaborative innovation in the new generation telecommunications sector.
