The WatchEDGE project at Expo2025 in Osaka
The RESTART F1-WatchEDGE project participated with a presentation at the Italian Pavilion, illustrating what has been achieved through the experimentation undertaken. The project, coordinated by Professor Guido Maier of the Milan Polytechnic, brought together the multiple know-how of the university (University of Pisa, University of Catania, University of Milan Bicocca), corporate (Italtel, Nextworks, Sensor ID) and research center (CNIT RaSS of Pisa) partners, in collaboration with the Migliarino, San Rossore, Massaciuccoli Regional Park Authority of the Tuscany Region.
It was an important opportunity to illustrate the technological infrastructure that WatchEDGE is developing to support surveillance applications based on AI image processing, to create an efficient and sustainable system with potential use in agriculture, forestry and environmental protection.
