RESTART is technical sponsor of PhD Summer School of Information Engineering – SSIE 2024
The PhD Summer School of Information Engineering – SSIE 2024 is the official Summer School of RESTART structural project S8 – PESCO.
Co-organized by the Department of Information Engineering (DEI) at the University of Padova, and the IEEE Italy section, SSIE will take place in Bressanone/Brixen, Italy, on July 8th-12th.
This year, the school will have two tracks: Track 1 focusing on telecommunications, and Track 2 focusing on electronics. Track 1 sees RESTART as a technical sponsor, and will feature seminars related to the new frontiers of machine learning (including quantum learning, adaptive and continual learning, spiking neural networks, and reinforcement learning), and its applications for 6G (for automotive, MIMO, and energy efficiency).
SSIE will feature a half-day student workshop, where students will present their research activity. The best presentation will receive an award, jointly presented by the IEEE Italy Section and the Department of Information Engineering (DEI) at the University of Padova.
PhD Students participating in the School will be awarded 5 ECTS credits from their doctoral school, upon passing an evaluation.
SSIE 2024 is also the perfect venue to host other RESTART in-person meetings, and facilitate interaction and brainstorming across the whole RESTART community.
